Italian two-wheeler manufacturing company –the Aprilia has recently unveiled the all-new Aprilia Storm 125 scooter at the ongoing Auto Expo 2018. The Aprilia Storm 125 has been launched along with its sibling SR 125. However, both the scooter models tend to differ slightly in terms of the design and some technical specifications. The major difference between these two is with respect to the wheels. Sporting high-end off-road riding features and attractive colour schemes, it can be claimed that the new-generation Aprilia Storm 125 has been designed for the youth as it also tends to flaunt a series of additional accessories which is scheduled to be launched by the end of April in Nepal.
Aprilia Storm 125 gets its riding power from the similar 124cc, 1-cylinder, 3-valve engine that produces a maximum power of 9.46 BHP and around 8.2 Nm of peak torque. The engine of the scooter has been mated to the CVT gearbox. Additionally, the sporty scooter also receives a 6.5-Litre fuel tank in opposition to the 7-Litre tank in Aprilia SR 125 scooter.
The Aprilia Storm 125 comes equipped with the telescopic forks of 30 mm towards the front along with a single shock absorber towards the rear end which can be well adjusted for preloading. The braking duties get handled by the presence of disc brakes at the front end along with drum brakes at the rear end. In terms of safety, the scooter receives a large windscreen as displayed on the model at the Auto Expo 2018. This will offer immense protection from the harsh winds while driving. The all-new Aprilia Storm 125 will be competing against the likeness of the TVS Ntorq series.
In terms of the overall designs, the Aprilia Storm 125 shares its design inspiration from its sibling Aprilia SR 125 scooter. Almost every basic component of the Aprilia Storm 125 in its body gets shared with the Aprilia SR 125 scooter, only with a significant difference with respect to the wheel's specifications. On an overall basis, Aprilia Storm 125 looks similar to the Aprilia SR 125 scooter apart from some aesthetic changes like the all-new body graphics along with additional new colour schemes including yellow & red. Even after not getting the high-end dual-tone body graphics, the Aprilia Storm 125 appears highly sporty as well as funky owing to its overall aggressive stance. There are additional features like the presence of a dual headlamp, edgy design, and a twin-pod instrument cluster.
As the Aprilia Storm, 125 is expected to be featuring a host of additional features, the scooter is aimed at the youth generation. Aprilia also provides optional accessories with the Aprilia Storm 125 and the displayed model at the Auto Expo 2018 came equipped with a large windscreen towards offering protection from the harsh winds while driving. With the presence of off-road tyres, the Aprilia Storm 125 scooter is able to perform exceedingly well even in off-road conditions. Weighing at just 122kg, the scooter is highly lightweight and easier to handle and ride over long distances. The Aprilia Storm 125 is a funky scooter that comes with attractive body graphics and new colour schemes.
