China-based electric vehicle manufacturer Skywell has launched its first electric SUV, the ET5 in Nepal. Just a few days ago, G Motors, the authorized distributor of Skywell electric vehicles in Nepal, introduced its first electric SUV to the Nepalese market. Skywell emerged as a pioneer among China's new energy vehicle manufacturers, achieving a significant milestone by becoming the first Chinese auto company to attain product certification from the European Union. This new electric SUV ET5 marks a significant milestone in the evolution of electric vehicles.

Equipped with a powerful electric motor and state-of-the-art battery technology, the ET5 offers impressive range and performance. It is powered by a 150kW electric motor that generates a max power of 204PS and a max torque of 320Nm. It is equipped with an 85.96 kWh lithium ternary battery. The ET5 boasts an impressive maximum range of 620 kilometres according to the NEDC standard (or 520 kilometres under WLTP testing). Charging the vehicle is convenient with its 11kW AC CCS Type 2 charger, which fully replenishes the battery in just 8 hours. For even quicker charging, the ET5 supports a 90kW DC Charger, reducing the charge time to a mere 1 hour and 30 minutes.

Boasting a suite of advanced features, the ET5 electric SUV seamlessly integrates into the fabric of modern life. It is equipped with advanced features including LED laser headlights with Scythe LED DRLs, connected LED taillights, a star edge sealing grill, and a 12.8-inch touchscreen infotainment system. It also offers an electrically adjustable driver's seat, keyless entry, heated and ventilated front seats, a powered tailgate, and a comprehensive multimedia system. It also boasts modern high-beam laser headlights, a panoramic roof, and patented fully folding seats designed to promote healthy sleep.

The ET5 prioritizes safety with a comprehensive suite of features including four airbags, ABS with EBD, a tyre pressure monitoring system, front and rear parking sensors, a rearview camera, 360-degree camera, hill starts to assist control, hill descent control, auto hold, and cruise control system. Additional features of the ET5 Electric SUV include a PM 2.5 air filter for enhanced interior air quality, an auto parking feature for added convenience, and an electric tailgate with a foot sensor equipped with an anti-pinch feature for safety. 

The Skywell ET5 Electric SUV boasts dimensions of 4720mm in length, 1908mm in width, and 1696mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2800mm. With a ground clearance of 197mm and a kerb weight of 1880kg, it offers stability and agility on the road. Additionally, it provides ample storage space with a 467-litre boot capacity, expandable to 1141 litres, making it perfect for all your cargo needs. The MacPherson and Multi-Link independent suspension systems take charge of handling duties. It boasts an 8-speaker system with features like party mode and rest mode.

The Skywell ET5 price in Nepal is NRs. 1.09 Crore, exclusively available in the single standard variant. It comes with an 8-year (or 200000km) warranty.
