SPG Automobiles, the official distributor of Chery vehicles in Nepal, has officially unveiled its first-ever electric vehicle in Nepal. This cutting-edge electric car isn't just a mode of transportation; it's a glimpse into the future of eco-friendly mobility. This new electric vehicle boasts a sleek and futuristic design that seamlessly blends style with sustainability and power-packed performance.
One of the key highlights of the Omoda E5 is its impressive performance. It is powered by a 165kW electric motor that generates a max power of 224PS and a max torque of 400Nm. It is equipped with a 61kWh lithium-ion battery. With advancements in battery technology, the Omoda 5 promises an impressive range on a single charge. Furthermore, it boasts an estimated range of 450 kilometres on a single charge. It is equipped with dual charging capabilities, accommodating both AC and DC charging methods. Particularly noteworthy is the DC charging feature, achieving an impressive 80% charge within just 35 minutes.
The Omoda E5 Electric Vehicle seamlessly blends elegance and innovation, proving that sustainable driving can also be stylish. At the front, the vehicle features T-shaped LED Daytime Running Lights (DRLs) with dynamic turn indicators, accompanied by a distinct LED headlamp for enhanced visibility. The Omoda 5 Electric SUV boasts dimensions of 4400mm in length, 1830mm in width, and 1588mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2630mm. It maintains a ground clearance of 145mm, and its kerb weight ranges from 1381kg to 1610kg. The vehicle offers a spacious boot space of 360 litres, extendable to 1026 litres. It also features a contemporary interior that includes a 24.6-inch dual screen. The suspension duties are handled by MacPherson Independent and Twist Beam. Additionally, the E5 is compatible with a growing network of charging stations, making it easy to plan your journeys without range anxiety.
The Omoda E5 price in Nepal is NRs. 59.49 lakhs. It is only available in a single standard variant for now. It is offered in seven colour options including White, Aquatic Green, Black, Grey, Red, Silver, and Blue. It comes with a standard warranty spanning eight years for both its battery and motor components. The Omoda E5 Electric Vehicle finds itself in direct competition with the BYD Atto 3 and MG ZS EV in the Nepalese market.
