Omoda has officially launched a new variant of its E5 electric crossover in Nepal. The E5 is now available in a more budget-friendly DLX version. This latest offering from Omoda, a brand synonymous with cutting-edge technology and premium design, is set to redefine what it means to drive an electric vehicle in Nepal. With the introduction of the DLX variant, the Omoda E5 is now available in two versions, with the other being the LUX variant. This premium EV comes with cutting-edge technology, luxurious comfort, and impressive performance.
The Omoda E5 DLX Variant is powered by a robust electric motor that delivers an impressive performance. It is powered by a front-mounted 99 kW electric motor that produces 340 Nm of maximum torque. It is equipped with a 61 kWh lithium iron phosphate blade battery pack. It offers a range of 430 km according to the WLTP standard. It features dual charging options, supporting both AC and DC methods. Notably, the DC charging capability allows the battery to reach 80% charge in just 35 minutes.
The Omoda E5 DLX is not just about performance and technology; it’s also a statement of style. Its sleek, aerodynamic design is complemented by bold lines and a modern aesthetic. It comes with T-shaped LED Daytime Running Lights (DRLs) with dynamic turn indicators, accompanied by a distinct LED headlamp. It also features redesigned 18-inch alloy wheels and updated lower front and rear bumpers. It boasts a state-of-the-art 10.25-inch infotainment display compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, complemented by a matching 10.25-inch instrument cluster.
The Omoda E5 boasts a comprehensive safety package featuring six airbags, tyre pressure monitoring, electronic stability and traction control, rollover mitigation, hill start and descent assistance, ABS with EBD, blind spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert. Inside, the vehicle offers a spacious and luxurious cabin, finished with premium materials and thoughtful touches. The DLX variant will exclude features like a sunroof, rear reading light, 360-degree camera, privacy glass, rear dynamic turn signals, puddle lights, and a power tailgate.
The Omoda E5 measures 4424mm in length, 1830mm in width, and 1558mm in height, with a ground clearance of 180mm and a wheelbase of 2630mm. It accommodates up to five passengers. The vehicle offers a spacious boot space of 360 litres, extendable to 1026 litres. The suspension duties are handled by MacPherson Independent and Twist Beam. The Omoda E5 features a futuristic design with a sporty “X” front and dynamic body lines. Additionally, the E5 is compatible with a growing network of charging stations.
The Omoda E5 price in Nepal is NRs. 55.99 lakhs for the DLX version. The price of the LUX trim remains the same at NRs 61.99 Lakh. It is offered in seven colour options including White, Aquatic Green, Black, Grey, Red, Silver, and Blue. It comes with a standard warranty spanning eight years for both its battery and motor components.
