MG Cyberster Electric Sportscar Officially Launched in Nepal: The Future of Sports Cars

MG Motors has officially launched its highly anticipated and iconic sportscar, the MG Cyberster in Nepal. This launch marks a significant moment for both the brand and electric vehicle enthusiasts in Nepal, as the Cyberster brings together cutting-edge technology and exhilarating performance, redefining what a modern electric sportscar can offer in the country. This striking two-door, two-seater sportscar makes a bold statement with its streamlined design and contemporary features, ensuring it stands out on the road.


Under the hood, the MG Cyberster is all about high-performance electric technology. It is powered by a rear-mounted, 231 kW permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) that generates a max power of 400 kW and 725 Nm of torque. It is equipped with a 77 kWh ternary lithium battery. It offers a range of 508 km. With a 7.2 kW AC charger, the car fully charges in around 9.5 hours, while fast charging takes it from 10% to 80% in just 45 minutes. It also offers four riding modes: Comfort, Custom, Sport, and Track.


The MG Cyberster is designed to turn heads. Its sleek and aerodynamic shape, combined with futuristic styling, offers an aggressive yet elegant look. It comes with sleek LED headlights with daytime running lights, arrow-shaped LED accents in the taillights, a convertible roof, scissor doors, a gaming-themed interior, paddle shifters, wireless charging, an 8-speaker Bose audio system, and more. It features a 10.25-inch main instrument display, complemented by two 7-inch flank displays and a central console display for climate control.


The MG Cyberster Electric Sportscar offers advanced safety features to ensure driver and passenger protection. In terms of safety, it gets multiple airbags, Level 2 ADAS, a vehicle stability control system, crash sensors, parking sensors, adaptive cruise control, and a robust structural design. It also offers advanced driver monitoring, enhanced visibility and lighting, an efficient braking system with ABS, and real-time safety updates. Additionally, the Cyberster comes with a 360-degree camera system, blind-spot detection, and rear cross-traffic alert.


The MG Cyberster measures 4535 mm long, 1913 mm in width, and stands 1329 mm tall. It features a wheelbase of 2690 mm and a ground clearance of 160 mm. The vehicle has a kerb weight of 1985 kg and offers a boot space of 249 litres. It is equipped with tubeless tyres, sized 255/40R19. The Cyberster boasts a top speed of 194 km/h and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 5 seconds. The suspension system is handled by a front double-wishbone setup and a rear multi-link configuration.
