Mahindra, one of the world's leading automobile manufacturers, has officially launched its much-awaited SUV, the Mahindra Scorpio-N in Nepal. Agni Group, the authorized distributor of Mahindra vehicles in Nepal, has introduced the Mahindra Scorpio-N in the country, offering three distinct variants: Z4 MT, Z8 MT, and Z8 AT. The recently launched Mahindra Scorpio N will be available in Nepal alongside the existing generation of Scorpio, which will undergo a rebranding as the Scorpio Classic. Packed with impressive features, unmatched performance, and an unmistakable road presence, the Scorpio N is set to redefine the SUV experience for enthusiasts across the Nepalese automobile industry.
Mahindra Scorpio-N is powered by a 2.2L CRDi mHawk diesel engine that can generate a max power of 175PS at 3500rpm and a max torque of 400Nm at 1750-2750rpm. It is equipped with a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic gearbox. It is also offered with a petrol engine variant, however, it will not be initially introduced in the Nepali market. All three versions of the Scorpio-N come equipped with standard 4-wheel drive capabilities and Zip-Zap-Zoom driving modes. It is equipped with a fuel tank that can hold up to 57 litres of fuel. It offers an impressive mileage of approximately 18 kilometres per litre of fuel consumed. It also offers a spacious boot capacity of approximately 786 litres.
Mahindra Scorpio-N is equipped with advanced modern features and the latest technology. The SUV now gets a slatted grille up front with chrome inserts, new twin-pod projector-lens LED headlamps, LED fog lamps, and new C-shaped LED daytime running lights. It is also equipped with an electric sunroof, dual-zone climate control, wireless phone charger, multiple driving modes, roof-mounted speakers, a Sony 3D sound system, push-button start/stop, driver drowsiness detection and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. The interior is equipped with a multi-function steering wheel, dual-zone climate control, leather upholstery and many more.
The Scorpio-N is packed with an array of advanced safety features. It has scored a 5-star rating in the latest round of Global NCAP safety tests, under the new safety test protocols and it gets a 3-star rating in child occupant tests. It is also equipped with dual front airbags, ABS (Anti-lock Braking System) with EBD (Electronic Brakeforce Distribution), rear parking sensors, and a high-strength steel body structure. In terms of dimension, it is 206 mm longer, 97 mm wider, and has a 70 mm longer wheelbase than the current Scorpio. The height of the new Scorpio has gone down by 138 mm and has a ground clearance of 187 mm.
The Mahindra Scorpio-N is priced at NRs. 90 Lakhs for the Z4 MT variant, NRs. 1.14 Crore for the Z8 MT variant, and NRs. 1.24 Crore for the Z8 AT variant in Nepal. It is offered in an array of captivating colour options that include Silver, Green, Red, Gold, Black, White, and Canyon.
