Honda Motorcycle and Scooter has officially launched a new variant of its popular 110cc scooter – Dio. Syakar Trading, the authorized distributor of Honda scooters in Nepal, has confirmed the arrival of two different variants of 2022 Dio in Nepal including Standard (STD) and Deluxe (DLX). The Honda Dio is a commuter scooter that is sporty and fun. The overall design of the new Dio scooter embraces an exciting blend of charisma and youthfulness including a sport and edgy outlook making it different from the rest of the rivals.

Both variants of the 2022 Honda Dio are mechanically similar. The upgraded Honda Dio is powered by an engine displacement of 109 cc, an air-cooled single-cylinder petrol engine that generates a maximum power of 7.65 bhp @ 8,000 rpm, and peak torque of 9 Nm @ 4,750 rpm. The engine has a V-Matic transmission with a fuel tank capacity of 5.3-liter and comes with a fuel efficiency of 58.3 kmpl. Dio includes safety features like Combined Braking System (CBS) while there are no disc brakes on board. The suspension is handled by Spring Loaded Hydraulic handles on both wheels.

The new variants of the 2022 Honda Dio manage to keep up its sharp and aggressive sportiness. The new LED headlight and DRLs setup give it a nice sleek look in the front. The Deluxe variant has an LED headlamp and the standard variant has a halogen bulb. Honda Dio DLX gets a Digital Instrument Meter, Gold-Colored Rims, and DLX sticker badging while the Honda Dio STD gets an Analog Meter and Black Rims. Both variants get Honda Eco Technology (HET) engine for smoother performance and better mileage. It also gets passing light, a shutter lock mechanism, and the street riding mode.  

Honda Dio Standard price in Nepal is NRs. 2.15 Lakhs while the Honda Deluxe price in Nepal is NRs. 2.27 Lakhs. The Dio is offered in 8 exciting colors that are spunky and fun- Sports Red, Candy Jazzy Blue, Vibrant Orange, Matte Axis Grey Metallic, Dazzle Yellow Metallic, Matte Axis Grey Metallic, Mat Sangria Red Metallic, and Repsol. It will compete against the likes of Hero Maestro Edge, TVS Jupiter, and Suzuki Access in the Nepalese market.
