Chinese motorcycle manufacturer CFMoto has officially revealed its first electric scooter. CFMoto presents the Cyber Concept. Cyber Concept, the e-scooter is expected to go into production next year before going on sale in China and other Asian markets. This new scooter christened Cyber will be the new brands first offering. The Cyber electric scooter concept is a totally sleek, stylish, and futuristic design vehicle. The CFMoto Electric Scooter Concept is developed by Zehoo, the company's electric division. BMW has also recently unveiled its high-tech electric scooter concept, CE 04.
CFMoto Electric Scooter Concept offers technology like voice control and a keyless system that you can unlock with a phone. It also uses Bosch Traction Control which, gives it three driving modes. Additional safety comes in the form of a 360-degree collision warning system and Brembo disc brakes with ABS at both ends. The concept is powered by a pouch-style lithium-ion battery manufactured by Farasis Energy. The device packs 4kWh, which translates into an effective range of over 130km. The Chinese company claims its electric scooter is powered by the Cobra powertrain while it includes the 10kw motor.
CFMoto claims that the electric scooter can go from 0 to 50kph in only 2.9sec and reach a maximum speed of 110kph. The Cyber Concept also has a claimed range of around 130km. Zehoo said its lithium-ion battery is capable of charging up to 80 percent faster in 30 minutes. CFMoto has said that it is considering putting the Cyber Concept into production next year. It is possible that CFMoto may introduce Cyber electric to the Nepalese market by 2021. This electric scooter sector has a lot of potential in the country and customers are willing to pay for a good product. Once launched in Nepal, this scooter will compete in the markets with the likes of Ather 450x and the upcoming electric scooter from KTM, based on Bajaj Chetak platform. CFMoto had also teased a Zeeho electric bike, which is also set to be launched in the Nepalese market.
