Bajaj Auto has officially launched the new Platina 100 ES in Nepal. HH Bajaj, the authorized distributor of Bajaj motorcycles in Nepal, has announced the launch of an updated version of the Platina 100 ES. It is the most affordable bike in Nepal with an electric start. According to the company, the Bajaj Platina 100 is an entry-level commuter motorcycle specially developed for the rural markets. It sits above the most affordable Bajaj bikes in Nepal, the CT100 and CT110 models. It comes in two variants: kick start and electric start.
The Bajaj Platina 100 is powered by a 102cc BS6 engine that generates a maximum power of 7.9 bhp and a torque of 8.34 Nm. Bajaj Platina 100 comes up with a combined braking system with both front and rear drum brakes. The engine is mated to a four-speed manual gearbox with an all-down pattern. It is equipped with a telescopic fork up front and a Spring-N-Spring rear shock absorber. The motorcycle features a 13-liter fuel tank and is expected to deliver a marginal increase in overall fuel efficiency to the previous model.
The Bajaj Platina 100 ES BS6 comes with a host of new features. It comes with an electronic injection system. It also features a ‘Spring-Soft’ seat, rubber footpads, a LED DRL with a halogen headlamp, bulb-type indicators, a tail lamp, and a semi-digital analog console. The Platina 100 rides on 17-inch alloy wheels at both ends that are equipped with Bajaj’s Comfortec suspension technology for better ride quality. Bajaj also offers a thick tank pad on 100 ES. The rest of the design remains pretty basic.
Talking about the price, Bajaj Platina 100 ES price in Nepal is NRs. 1.92 Lakhs. It comes with three Color options Dyno Red, Nuclear Blue, and Chrome Black. The Platina competes with the likes of Honda Dream Neo, TVS Star City Plus, and Hero MotoCorp HF Deluxe in the Nepalese market.
