As per the latest details available, the 7-Seater Maruti WagonR will launch in Nepal the coming weeks. The production of this compact people mover will be handled by the Gujarat facility of Maruti Suzuki. Launch of the new 7-Seater Maruti WagonR will create a new segment in Nepal as pricing it between NRS 25-30 lakh will allow buyers to choose this one in place of Eeco for a premium feel.

People who were planning for Ertiga petrol could also consider WagonR 7-Seater for once, slightly compromising on the comfort and the rear legroom. Maruti will use the same platform as the regular WagonR and thus, upcoming safety norms will be followed with full effect on the new 7-seat version.

The new car will feature three rows of seating and that too with front facing seats on all three of them. To keep the added weight away from the ground, Maruti will offer 7-seat WagonR with more ground clearance and added features. Like the 5-seat model of WagonR, the interior will feature dual-tone black and beige finish while features like remote control central locking and power steering will help the users enjoy driving this car all around with ease.

The 7-Seater Maruti WagonR will measure under 4 meter in length and will compete in the market with none other than Datsun Go+ in Nepal. It will benefit from Maruti’s large dealership network and one of the recent reports hint that the 7-seat WagonR will retail from the NEXA stores.

Datsun Go+ was a capable product but, could not sell in good numbers as last row seats are much compact in comparison to bigger cars. They can only be used by children and thus, will give an edge to Maruti WagonR 7-Seater over its primary rival. The car will carry ABS and dual front airbags as standard.

Maruti is yet to offer these safety features on smaller hatchbacks but those receiving face-lifts are either getting them standard or at least through optional variants. The upcoming model of WagonR will be powered by the same 1.2L petrol engine, which is good for 82HP of maximum power and 113NM of maximum torque.
