Yamaha Motor has officially announced the launch of the Aerox 155 scooter in a new Metallic Black variant. The Aerox 155 scooter is now available in a total of four color options including MotoGP edition, Racing Blue, Gray Vermillion, and a new Metallic Black variant. As per the latest media reports, the Yamaha Aerox in a new Metallic Black is going to hit the Nepalese market in the coming days. MAW Enterprises Pvt. Ltd, the only authorized distributor of Yamaha Scooters in Nepal offers three different models of Yamaha scooters in Nepal. While the pricing of the new color remains the same as other colors.

In terms of power, the Aerox gets a BS-VI compliant 155cc engine that is similar to the R15. The Scooter will be powered by the 155cc Blue Core engine equipped with Variable Valve Actuation (VVA). This engine comes with a liquid-cooled, 4-stroke, SOHC, 4-valve motor that comes mated to a CVT transmission delivering a maximum power output of 15 PS at 8,000rpm with 13.9 Nm of peak torque produced at 6,500rpm. The scooter is covered by a disc at the front and a drum at the back while the suspension is handled by front telescopic forks and dual rear shocks.

The  Aerox scooter comes with 24.5-liter under-seat storage space. It also comes with very new advanced features. Some of the key features on the scooter include LED headlights and a tail light with 12 compact LEDs, a single-channel ABS, 5.8-inch Multi-Information Display. It also includes connectivity features that are accessible through Yamaha’s mobile phone app. Other key features include an LCD instrument cluster, keyless entry, LED lighting, and a charging port. This scooter also gets a Smart Motor Generator System for quiet engine starts.

The Metallic Black color version of the Yamaha Aerox 155 is set to be available across all Yamaha showrooms in Nepal, from 2022 onwards. The Yamaha Aerox 155 is expected to be priced between NRs 4.80 lakhs to NRs 5.0 lakhs in the Nepalese market. Once launched in Nepal, it will go up against the likes of Aprilia SXR 160.
