Volkswagen has officially launched the new Touareg R, the high-performance flagship SUV in Nepal. The authorized distributor of Volkswagen cars in Nepal, Pooja International Nepal Pvt. Ltd has also confirmed the arrival of the flagship model New Touareg R-Line in Nepal. The Volkswagen Touareg R is a mid-size luxury crossover SUV produced by German automaker Volkswagen since 2002. The new famous Touareg now gets the R- treatment with a wide variety of added modern designs and features.

The new Touareg R comes with plug-in hybrid technology and is the most powerful Volkswagen of all time. The Volkswagen Touareg was developed as a joint venture project by Porsche and the Volkswagen Group. The new SUV Touareg-R is powered by a 2967cc, 6 cylindered V6 Petrol 3.0 Litre Turbocharged engine that generates 340 Ps @ 5300-6400 RPM power and 450 Nm @ 1370-4500 RPM Torque. Touareg-R can hit 0-100 Kmph in a matter of 5.9 seconds with a top speed of 250 kmph. It is mated to a new 8HP 8-speed automatic transmission, which was designed to be more lightweight.

The new Touareg-R comes with a host of new features. It includes a 20-inch alloy wheel, traction control,  and a four-wheel-drive system. It is also equipped with a 15-inch infotainment system with AR gesture, 12-inch cluster panel, auto-hold control, full panoramic sunroof, rear LED tail lights, hill descent assist, head-up display, tire pressure monitoring, and DYNAUDIO consequence with 14 Speakers. Touareg-R also includes safety features such as airbags, air suspensions, all-wheel steering, and ABS.

The new Touareg-R comes with a stylish bold exterior with a fresh, vibrant design and new color schemes. The fuel tank capacity of the car is 100 liters providing a mileage of around 12 kmpl. The kerb weight of the car is 2035 Kg including a ground clearance of 236 mm. The starting price of the new Touareg-R in Nepal starts at 3.25 crore. The new Touareg-R rivals the likes of the BMW X5, Range Rover Sport, and Tesla cars in Nepal.
