Japanese brand Yamaha has launched the 2021 MT-25 in Indonesia. A quarter-liter naked streetfighter was first launched in Malaysia last year. It gets updated bodywork which makes the MT-25 more aggressive than the previous model. Yamaha has been a very strong brand in the Nepalese motorcycle market for quite some time. The Japanese brand has confirmed earlier to increase its market share in Nepal. Hence, the brand is keen to launch Yamaha MT-25 naked bike in the market in the coming months. We can expect it to be launched here sometime this year.

The naked streetfighter comes with a sharp, aggressive, and bold looks similar to the MT-03. The feature list on MT 25 includes a projector headlight with LED DRL, an LED taillight, LED turn indicators, and a digital instrument cluster. A muscular fuel tank, step-up saddle, split-style alloys, and an engine cowl gives masculinity to the Yamaha MT-25. The motorcycle is available in two colors – Ice Fluo and Yamaha Blu. At the rear end, the bike gets a split grab rail, a compact and sharp LED taillight.

The Yamaha MT-25 gets power from a 249 cc liquid-cooled four-stroke, eight-valve, DOHC, inline-twin engine producing 35bhp of power at 12,000rpm and 23.6Nm of peak torque at 10,000rpm. The bike is mated to a 6-speed transmission offering swift shifting. For braking duty, the upcoming Yamaha MT-25 is equipped with disc brakes on both end while It also gets dual-channel ABS as a standard unit. According to the company, the Yamaha MT-25 comes offering around 30-35 kmpl of fuel efficiency.

In terms of performance, the quarter-liter naked street fighter offers the driver a sporty and high-performance experience. This bike is expected to be priced aggressively in the Nepalese market. The brand is keen to launch Yamaha MT-25 in Nepal only towards the end of 2021. Once launched in Nepal, the Yamaha MT-25 will compete with rivals like Kawasaki Z250, KTM Duke 250 and Benelli TNT 300.
