The Bangalore-based startup company Ultraviolette Automotive has launched their first product, the F77 electric motorcycle in the Indian market and we are sure it will arrive in Nepal in coming months. The price of the e-bike ranges between 3 to 4 lakhs in India and price is yet to be confirmed for Nepalese market. It is available in three variants – Lightning, Shadow, and Laser. The registrations of the bike have begun today while the deliveries are set to begin in the third quarter of 2020.

Mechanically, the bike comes powered with an air-cooled permanent magnet AC motor that produces 33.5HP of maximum power at 2250 rpm and an impressive peak torque of 90Nm. The Ultraviolette F77 is our country’s first performance-oriented electric motorcycle. The technical specifications of the bike are impressive too. According to the company officials, this bike reaches from 0-60kph in only 2.9 seconds, 0-100kph in 7.2 seconds and it has a top speed of 147kph. There are three power modes in the bike – Eco, Sport, and Insane.

The electric motorcycle gets its power from a battery with a maximum capacity of 4.2kWh. It uses three slim lithium-ion battery packs and the whole unit takes 5 hours to charge fully via the standard charger. However, through the fast charger, it can be done only in 1.5 hours. Once fully charged, the bike has a company-claimed range of 130-150km. Ultraviolette Automotive has revealed that the F77 doesn’t require all three battery packs to run but, it performs best with all of them in use.

Coming to the design of the bike, it uses a steel trellis frame with an aluminium head that is suspended on USD forks at the front and a preload-adjustable monoshock at the rear end. The braking duties of the bike are handled by a 320mm front disc and a 230mm rear disc with dual-channel ABS. The Ultraviolette F77 rides on 110/70-R17 front and 150/60-R17 rear tyres. The bike has a kerb weight of 158kg.

The electric motorcycle gets a TFT display as standard which can be connected to an app that provides you with an ample amount of information and also allows for the customization. The e-bike will also get accessories like crash guards, a portable fast charger, panniers, and a different visor.
