The U-go is high quality and durable electric scooter from the famous Japanese brand Honda. It was launched in China last year in two variants. The Wuyang-Honda Motors (Guangzhou) Co and Japan Honda Motor introduced the U-Go electric scooter. The Honda U-Go Electric Scooter boasts a sleek and modern design equipped with a high-performance electric motor and advanced battery technology.
This new scooter is a marvel of modern engineering. Its lithium-ion battery not only provides an impressive range but also charges quickly. It is powered by a 48V 30Ah Lithium-ion removable battery pack that has a rated power of 1.2 kW and peak power of 1.8 kW with the motor delivering a maximum efficiency of 88 percent. The estimated riding range of an electric U-Go on a single charge stands above 65 km and can be doubled to 130km by the addition of a second battery. Braking duties are handled by a disc brake at the front and a drum brake at the rear. Suspension duties are handled by telescopic forks at the front and dual shock absorbers at the rear.
The Honda U-Go comes with very simple and sleek features. Some of the key features it includes are a large footboard, LCD instrument console with basic info like battery status, range, mode, and speed, USB charging port, anti-theft alarm, 26-liter overall under storage space, a boxy LED headlamp, LED Daytime Running Light, sharp LED tail lamp, integrated LED turn indicators and single-piece black seat. It also comes with comfortable ergonomics including a tall handlebar, U-Go wording on the sides, black alloy wheels, and an anti-theft alarm system. With its compact and lightweight design, this scooter offers exceptional agility and maneuverability.
Honda U-Go electric scooter is now available in the Chinese market and is priced at CNY 7,999, which is around NRs 1.46 lakhs. There’s also a low-speed variant (with its top speed restricted to 43kmph) available at CNY 7,499 (about NRs 1.37 lakhs). Honda U-Go electric scooter price in Nepal is expected to be around NRs. 2.50 lakhs to NRs. 3.00 lakhs. Despite the low price, the scooter still looks like a decent urban option.With its state-of-the-art technology, sleek design, and eco-friendly performance, this scooter stands as a symbol of Honda's commitment to environmental preservation and urban mobility.
