The Swedish company Husqvarna Motorcycles recently launched its first bike in Nepal called Svartpilen 250 and Vitpilen 250 with a price tag of around 5.69 lakhs. Recently, after the launch of Svartpilen 250 and Vitpilen 250, Husqvarna’s smallest offering, the Svartpilen 125, will reportedly hit the market next month. The Svartpilen 125 will shares components with its same-sized KTM counterpart, the 125 Duke. In the coming days, Husqvarna will expand its portfolio in Nepal and we can also expect Svartpilen 125 and Vitpilen 125 in the Nepalese market.

Husqvarna Svartpilen 125 has the identical mechanics with that of KTM 125 Duke rather than the designation pattern. Svartpilen 125 shares the corresponding parts with Duke 125 as their sizes are identical as ownership of Husqvarna and KTM belongs to the same group. This 124.7 cc cafe racer consists of a single-cylinder engine without the violation of emission regulations. Internally, the performance of the bike is 15hp at 9000 rpm and 12Nm at 7500 rpm accompanied by a 6-speed gearbox which is matching the aforementioned Duke 125.

The suspension setup on the Svartpilen 125 consists of 43 mm WP Apex USD Forks in the front and WP Apex mono-shock at the rear with 5 step preload adjustability. In terms of brakes, the bike braking is handled by a disc at both ends with ByBre calipers and dual-channel ABS as a standard. In contrast with Duke 125, the Svartpilen 125 contains max power of 15bhp which is higher than that of duke 125 with a max power of 14.3bhp at max torque of 12Nm. About the lighting system, the bike has LED electronics with LED headlamps and an LED tail switch.

The Husqvarna 125 might gain quick popularity amongst the youths since the bike has several exceptional performances results than that of Duke 125 which is quite a popular naked sportbike as the Svartpilen 125 gives an additional bhp in comparison with its twin bike in terms of mechanics as well as the elegant design and style of ‘urban scrambler’ which might impact the bike sales positively. Husqvarna Motorcycles has arranged the price of this bike to be around 5000 euro which will be approximately around 8 to 9 lakhs.
