Hero RNT is not like the conventional bikes you see around. Instead, it has been designed for utility purpose and the vehicle reflects that character from every angle. The brand is mulling plan to launch this model in Nepalese market. If launched, the Hero RNT is going to be a very interesting product here considering its design and the purpose it has been designed for. Also, another interesting fact is that the Hero RNT is powered by a diesel engine instead of a petrol unit.
Speaking of its design, the Hero RNT looks like a blend between a bike and a scooter. It comes with a flat loading surface with strap bars, while there are multi-use folding racks as well. There have been fitted to serve the utility purpose. There is a small space between the handlebar and the seat that gives it a step-thru look. Speaking about the headlamp, the Hero RNT gets a detachable LED lamp that can be used as an ordinary lamp in dark as well. Also, the engine of the Hero RNT can be used as a generator in need to power up the external devices.
Clearly, the Hero RNT comes with a clever design that makes it a very useful vehicle and a multi-utility product as well. It gets three-pod instrument cluster, spacious footboard, well cushioned spacious seat. It runs on black alloy wheels wrapped with meaty rubbers.
The Hero RNT gets power from a 150 cc diesel engine that is capable of churning out 13.5 bhp of peak power and 35 Nm of peak torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a 6-speed constant mesh sequential gearbox. What’s more interesting is that the Hero RNT could get a turbocharger and there could be an electric hub motor fitted to the front wheel that will make both the wheels powered individually. The hero might introduce its fuel-saving i3S technology to the RNT.
For braking duty, the Hero RNT gets large disc brakes on both the front and rear wheels, while the suspension duty is done by telescopic front forks and rear monoshock absorber. The Hero RNT doesn’t have any direct competitor in the Indian market, if we consider the present scenario. The Hero RNT is expected to come offering around 25-30 kmpl of mileage. Built for utility purposes, the Hero RNT is expected to come offering generous and impressive performance, while its handling capacity too would be impressive. We believe, the Hero RNT could be an interesting product in the Nepalese two-wheeler market.
