Hero MotorCorp has officially launched its new electric scooter the Vida V1. Hero is also set to launch its new electric scooter the Vida V1 in Nepal. The Vida V1 will make its debut in the Nepalese market in the coming days. It has been offered in two variants: the V1 Plus and the V1 Pro. The Hero Vida V1 Electric Scooter is a sleek and stylish mode of transportation that is perfect for those looking to reduce their carbon footprint and save money on gas. With a powerful motor and long-lasting battery, it is a lightweight and compact electric scooter that is designed for short-distance commuting and urban travel. 


Both scooters get IP67-rated battery packs. The V1 Plus gets a 3.44 kWh battery pack that provides a range of 143 km while the  V1 Pro gets a 3.94 kWh battery pack that provides a range of 165 km. Both variants come with a portable charger that is compatible with a 5A power outlet, which takes less than 6 hours to charge the EV from 0-80% and the fast charger does the same in less than 65 minutes. Both models can reach a top speed of 80 kmph.  It is built on an underbone frame linked to a telescopic fork and a single rear shock absorber. Braking is covered by a disc up front and a drum at the rear. 


One of the standout features of the Vida V1 is its lightweight and compact design. The scooter is equipped with a digital display and LED lights, which make it easy to keep track of your speed and battery life. It comes with a unique set of LED headlamps with DRLs,  a distinct shield-type windscreen, turn-by-turn navigation, digital document storage, in-app customisation of performance and over-the-air software, keyless control, cruise control, S.O.S Alert and a two-way throttle as well. It also gets a removable batteries option, 26 litres of boot space, and a follow-me-home headlight. 


The Hero Vida V1 Electric Scooter rides on 12-inch alloy wheels at both ends. It gets a 90/90-section front tyre whereas the rear comes with a 100/80 unit. The Vida V1 is also equipped with a durable and high-strength steel frame, ensuring it can withstand the wear and tear of daily use. Its design is unconventional, with it getting a wide front apron and a narrow body at the rear. The V1 Pro is quicker at 0-40 kmph sprints with a claimed time of 3.2 seconds while the V1 Plus sprints 0-40 kmph run in 3.4 seconds. It is also offered with three seating modularity options.


The starting price of Hero Vida V1 in Nepal is expected to be around NRs. 4 lakhs. It is equipped with four riding modes - Eco, Ride, Sport and Custom. Bookings for the scooter are set to begin in early 2023 and the deliveries are to commence shortly. The Vida will rival the Ather 450X, TVS iQube ST, Ola S1 Pro and the Bajaj Chetak.
