The Citroën eC3 Shine Electric Hatchback is all set to make its debut in Nepal. Shangrila Motors Private Limited, the official distributor of Citroën vehicles in Nepal, is preparing to launch a new top-tier Shine variant of the eC3 electric hatchback in Nepal. The standard Citroën eC3 electric car was introduced in Nepal a few months ago. With the upcoming Shine variant, there will now be two versions available in the Nepalese market. This new variant promises to blend the charm of Citroën's distinctive French design with cutting-edge electric technology.
Although the overall design of the Citroën eC3 remains the same, the Shine variant will introduce several new features. These include wing mirrors, a rear parking camera, 15-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, a rear wiper-washer, and a rear defogger. Additionally, the new variant will be equipped with faux skid plates at the front and rear, as well as a leather-wrapped steering wheel. It continues with a bold front grille, a split halogen headlamp with LED DRLs, and an LED tail lamp with a chromed emblem.
The Citroën eC3 Shine variant maintains features from the existing model, including a 10.2-inch touchscreen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, manual air conditioning, a four-speaker stereo, keyless entry, and a digital driver’s display. It is outfitted with controls mounted on the steering wheel, three USB ports, a 12V outlet, and a smartphone holder. It also features optional fender-mounted turn indicators, a roof antenna, and the choice of a dual-tone shade.
The new EV is also equipped with a range of advanced safety features. It has electronic stability control, lane departure warning, and automatic emergency braking. It is further guaranteed with dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, and rear parking sensors for enhanced safety measures. It also has a heads-up display, adaptive cruise control, and automatic emergency braking. Additionally, it is equipped with advanced driver-assistance features, such as lane-keeping assist and automatic emergency braking.
The powertrain of the eC3 remains unchanged in the Shine variant. It is powered by a 42kW permanent magnet synchronous motor that generates a max power of 57PS and a max torque of 143Nm. It is also powered by a high-energy-density lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 29.2kWh. The eC3 boasts an impressive claimed range of 320 km on a full charge. Using the onboard 3.3kW charger, the battery takes about 10.5 hours to go from 10% to 100% charge. It also works with DC fast chargers, which can charge it from 10% to 80% in only 57 minutes.
The standard version of Citroën eC3 price in Nepal starts at NRs. 32.99 lakhs. The price of the Shine variant in Nepal has not been disclosed yet. With its blend of stylish design, advanced electric technology, and a host of features aimed at comfort and safety, the eC3 Shine is set to become a popular choice among Nepalese.
