Hero MotoCorp has been dominating the 100cc Nepalese market for a very long time. Hero MotoCorp has finally now diversifying their portfolio by introducing some new bikes between 250-300cc segment. According to the company, the launch is on track and these new 250cc-300cc premium motorcycles will be launched over the span of the next three to five years. The brand will also have new premium outlets in Kathmandu valley and then the company will expand the network to the other major cities in Nepal.
The maker of the Splendor and Passion motorcycles has meanwhile hired Virat Kohli as its new brand ambassador. Here are the official statements by Hero MotoCorp CFO Niranjan Gupta.
“We had embarked on this premium strategy in terms of filling the portfolio right across all the CCs and all the segments. You have already seen us coming out with Xtreme 160R, you have seen us coming out with Xpulse and you will see more and more products coming out every year.” “In terms of new products, the company is not delaying launches. As of now, all our launch pipeline plans, which are there for the next three to five years, remain exactly where they were,” he added.
In recent years, Hero has unveiled a lot of premium motorcycle concepts like the HX250R, Hastur 620, and the XF3R but unfortunately, none of these bikes made it to the Nepalese market. Hero MotoCorp recently also revealed a 300cc adventure motorcycle, which is expected to launch as XPulse 300 in the Nepalese markets. We can also expect the brand to launch a 250cc sports bike and a 300cc naked streetfighter within the next three to five years in the Nepalese market.
