TVS Motor Company - the homegrown motorcycle manufacturer has launched the 2019 TVS Apache RR 310. The 2019 Apache RR 310 has received a race-tuned slipper clutch, few styling updates and a new paint job, called Phantom Black. The slipper clutch will certainly assist the rider in buttery smooth up-shifts and stress-free downshifts. The slipper clutch mechanism is of great help in maintaining vehicle stability at higher speeds.
The race-tuned slipper clutch on the 2019 Apache RR 310 also gets an Assist Function which locks the clutch plates tightly, increasing their engagement and ultimately resulting in reduced clutch effort. This adds to the comfort quotient while cruising on the highways, city commute or leaning into the mean corners of a track. TVS is also providing the race-tuned slipper clutch as a TVS Racing accessory and the existing owners of Apache RR 310 can get it retrofitted at a nominal price. The existing owners of the motorcycles can avail this facility at select TVS Apache RR 310 dealerships across the nation.
For the update, TVS Apache RR 310 gets its propulsion from a single-cylinder, liquid-cooled 313 CC DOHC motor. The reverse inclined motor produces 33.5 bhp of max power and 27.3 Nm of max torque. The motor is linked to a 6-speed gearbox and does the 0-60 kmph speed sprint in just 2.93 seconds. The same motor also powers the BMW Motorrad's G 310 R and G 310 GS. Apache RR 310's has a top-speed of 160 kmph.
The engine sits in a steel trellis frame and the chassis is designed for enhanced aerodynamics and handling of the motorcycle. The Apache RR 310 sails on Michelin Street Sport tyres and provides the rider with a planted feel and confidence. The motorcycle sports shark-inspired styling and it is an absolute looker. Key rivals of the 2019 Apache RR 310 includes KTM RC 390 and Kawasaki Ninja 300.
