Pune based electric bike start-up, Tork Motorcycles is ready to launch T6X, the first made-in-India electric motorcycle. The launch event may happen near Dashain, as per the recent report by Autocar. Tork Motorcycles plans to cater to the needs of those who drive 100-125 cc bikes and need the maximum efficiency from their motorcycle.
No doubt, it will cost more than the competition but the low cost of running, which is expected between NRS 10-20 for a full charge, would be good for around 100 kilometers. The quick charge mode lets the battery charge itself to 80 percent in 1 hour while the full charge may take around 2 hours to complete.
Top speed of the bike has been limited to 85 kmph while it offers auto start stop and regenerative braking for extended battery life. The company has started 2 charging stations in Nepal while it wishes to take the number to 100 before the launch event. The same strategy will be followed for other cities in the coming future.
T6X is already ABS compatible and uses special tyres from Ceat, allowing minimum amount of frictional loss. The motorcycle will use a digital instrument console with option for connecting both iOS and Android-powered smartphones. Tork has not announced anything officially regarding the price of T6X yet.
