Yamaha revealed the next-generation model of MT-03  back in October 2019. Unfortunately, as of now, the brand has not officially announced anything regarding the launch of the MT-03 2021 in the Nepalese markets. As per the latest auto details available, the new Yamaha MT-03 motorcycle is expected to be launched in Nepal by the end of 2021. The new Yamaha MT-03 is basically the naked version of the Yamaha YZF-R3 and the styling of the Yamaha MT-03 is exactly similar to the Yamaha MT-25.

The 2021 model of the Yamaha MT-03 comes with a new LED headlamp setup that includes LED turn indicators, an updated LCD display and new fuel tank extensions. The fully-digital LCD instrument cluster is new addition on the updated MT-03. The MT-03 also comes with the equipped 37mm Upside Down (USD) telescopic forks at the front while the rear features a monoshock unit. Braking duties are covered by a 298mm disc up front and a 220mm disc at the rear, with dual-channel ABS as a standard unit. The Yamaha MT-03 will be available in two colours – race blu and midnight black.

The bike is powered by 321cc, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected, twin-cylinder engine producing a maximum power of 42HP @ 10,750 rpm and a peak torque of 29.6Nm @ 9,000 rpm. The engine is mated to a six-speed transmission and weighs just 168kgs. The bike is equipped with a new swingarm as well. The design language of the Yamaha MT-03 is similar to street bikes with a beefy tank, petite tail lamp, and exposed frame along with sharp and edgy lines. Apart from the design changes, this bike also have also fine riding position to better suit and seat height is also low at 780mm.

The hyper-naked street motorcycle is expected to arrive in Nepal this year and we can expect it to retail in the NRs 8 lakh to NRs 10 lakh price bracket  (expected).
