The 17th edition of the NADA Auto Show 2025 has officially wrapped up at Bhrikuti Mandap, Kathmandu, marking a milestone for Nepal’s automotive industry. Organized by the NADA Automobiles Association of Nepal, this year’s event exceeded expectations with over 177,000 visitors and a spectacular showcase of innovation, technology, and next-generation mobility solutions.
The Auto Show was inaugurated on Bhadra 3, 2025, by Prime Minister K.P. Sharma Oli, setting the stage for Nepal’s biggest automobile exhibition. The Prime Minister’s presence underscored the importance of the auto sector in Nepal’s economic and technological landscape.
NADA President Karan Chaudhary highlighted the significance of the event, calling it a “new beginning” for Nepal’s future in automotive innovation and sustainable mobility. He stressed that the overwhelming success reinforced Nepal’s potential as an emerging hub for automobile technology in South Asia.
One of the biggest attractions was the introduction of an electric flying taxi (eVTOL), developed jointly by Changan and Ehang. This revolutionary aircraft showcased Nepal’s entry into next-generation air mobility, sparking excitement about the potential of aerial transport in the country’s future.
Adding futuristic flair, a four-legged advanced robot captivated audiences with its movements and applications in automation, mobility, and safety assistance.
The show brought together over 125 exhibitors and more than 30 leading national and international automobile brands, making it the most diverse showcase yet. Brands highlighted their latest electric vehicles (EVs), hybrids, two-wheelers, four-wheelers, and commercial vehicles, demonstrating Nepal’s fast-growing demand for sustainable solutions.
The Vintage Motor Show drew enthusiasts of classic cars and motorcycles, bridging the past and the future of mobility in Nepal. It became a special highlight, celebrating the heritage of motoring alongside modern innovations.

During the closing ceremony, Minister for Health and Population Pradeep Poudel addressed the audience, emphasizing the urgent need for improved road safety in Nepal. With thousands of road accidents reported annually, he assured that NADA’s policy proposals would be raised at the Cabinet level to push for safer mobility frameworks.
The NADA Auto Show 2025 was more than just a commercial exhibition—it was a statement of Nepal’s readiness to embrace clean energy vehicles, smart mobility, and futuristic transport solutions. From flying taxis to EV adoption, the event reflected how the country is gradually positioning itself as a pioneering market for innovative mobility.
