KTM RC 160 Nears Launch After Being Spied in Testing

The upcoming KTM RC 160 has finally made a road appearance, confirming that the lightweight supersport is almost ready to break cover. The test unit looked polished enough to signal that KTM is in the last stretch before its big debut. A New Gap Filler in the KTM Supersport Lineup

The RC 160 sits perfectly between the RC 125 and RC 200. KTM designed this motorcycle to give riders a sharper step-up option without jumping to a bigger displacement. It uses the same platform as the 2025 Duke 160, which officially launched in September 2025. For riders wanting KTM aggression in a more accessible package, the RC 160 is shaping up to be the sweet spot.

Design Stays True to KTM DNA

The spy shots show the RC 160 in the signature black and orange color combination. The bike features the iconic trellis frame architecture and a bolt-on rear subframe similar to the bigger RC models. Black USD forks, aerodynamic fairings and a slim but muscular silhouette keep it unmistakably KTM.

Sport Ready Features Loaded for Young Riders

KTM is not holding back on hardware. The RC 160 test mule reveals clip-on handlebars, fairing-mounted mirrors, a monoshock rear suspension and lightweight 17-inch alloy wheels. Expect a large front disc, dual channel ABS, split seats and integrated grab rails.
