Kawasaki has seen the pretty good response in the premium bike segment of the Nepalese market and now the brand is keen to enhance the market share further with more new models. One of the upcoming bikes from the Japanese brand is the Z250 SL. As the name suggests, the bike comes sitting in the naked streetfighter range of the company. The bike is likely to be launched here sometime in mid 2020.
Kawasaki Z250 SL is basically the naked version of the faired Ninja 250 SL. The bike comes with a very aggressive pricing thanks to its sculpted look. It gets crafted looking sharp headlamp with LED lamp. The fully digital instrument cluster, sculpted-looking fuel tank with large capacity, tank scoops add zing to the bike. The rider seat is low positioned in order to give the rider a comfortable experience and also to ensure great control over the machine.
The pillion rider seat comes with split and stepped up appearance. At the back of the narrow tail section, Kawasaki Z250 SL gets a sharp LED taillight that enhances its premiumness further. The bike gets chunky looking exhaust muzzle and it runs on sporty alloy wheels wrapped with meaty tubeless tyres. Kawasaki has designed the bike to give it a great aerodynamic efficiency.
The Kawasaki Z250 SL gets power from a 249 cc parallel-twin, liquid-cooled, 4-stroke DOHC engine. Mated to a 6-speed gearbox, the engine churns out 27.62 bhp of peak power at 9,700 rpm and 22.6 Nm of peak torque at 8,200 rpm. For braking duty, the Kawasaki Z250 SL comes equipped with 290 mm front disc brake and a 220 mm rear disc brake as well. Also, there will be dual-channel ABS as an option adding more safety to the bike and rider.
The bike certainly comes with great handling and performance capability. It is capable of running at a top speed of around 153 kmph. The bike also comes with great acceleration capability. The Kawasaki Z250 SL offers around 19 kmpl of mileage. The Kawasaki Z250 SL is expected to throw the tough challenge to the Benelli TNT 25. Clearly, Kawasaki is keen to take a strong spot in the quarter-litre category high-performance bike segment and the Z250 SL will play the crucial role in that strategy. This bike is expected to come priced competitively in order to lure the buyers towards it.
