The leading automobile manufacturer Honda, has officially launched its much-anticipated flagship model - the Honda City Hybrid (e-HEV) in Nepal. Syakar Trading Company, the authorized distributor of Honda vehicles in Nepal, has officially unveiled the latest additions to their lineup - the all-new Honda City Hybrid. This highly anticipated model comes in two exciting variants, V and ZX. This model will be available in addition to the regular Honda City variant.  Combining cutting-edge technology, elegant performance, and eco-consciousness, this revolutionary hybrid sedan is set to redefine the streets of Nepal and beyond.

One of the most impressive features of the Honda City e-HEV is its ability to seamlessly transition between different driving modes. The Honda City e-HEV utilizes its motor to switch seamlessly between EV Drive, Hybrid Drive, and Engine Drive modes. EV Drive employs an electric motor and a battery to enable noiseless and environmentally friendly propulsion. This driving mode is employed when navigating typical urban traffic situations. The Hybrid Drive system combines the engine's electricity generation with the motor's wheel propulsion for quick acceleration, providing both performance and battery charging simultaneously. Engine Drive is engaged when the sedan reaches high speeds on the highway, using only the engine to power the wheels.

The Honda City e-HEV is equipped with a highly advanced hybrid powertrain that effortlessly combines a petrol engine and an electric motor. It is powered by a 1.5L Atkinson cycle petrol engine with a hybrid dual-motor that generates a combined max power of 126PS and a max torque of 127 Nm for the engine and 253 Nm for the PMSM Motor. It is equipped with a 172.8V advanced high-voltage lithium-ion battery which charges automatically while driving. It is exclusively offered with an e-CVT transmission featuring an engine-linked clutch and electronic parking brake. It also boasts impressive fuel efficiency, achieving an economical 27.13 kilometres per litre of fuel.

Not only does the Honda City e-HEV excel in performance and technology, but it also boasts an eye-catching design. It features a Honda solid wing face grill with a full LED headlamp, a 3D wrap with LED tail lamp and uniform edge light, LED side indicators, a trunk lid spoiler, a carbon fibre look diffuser and 16-inch dual-tone diamond cut alloy wheels. It is also equipped with a bit of a blue highlight in the Honda badge - and that's typical of most Japanese manufacturers when it's a hybrid or an electric. The lower portion of the front grille features a fresh design, characterized by a black honeycomb mesh pattern positioned beneath a thick horizontal chrome strip.

The Honda City e-HEV is equipped with a range of contemporary safety functionalities. It comes equipped with 6 airbags, ISOFIX, 3-point seatbelts for all passengers, traction control, antilock brakes with electronic brake-force distribution, tyre pressure monitoring, hill start assist, and advanced driver assistance systems. Honda has brought level 2 ADAS, which is called Honda Sensing in this hybrid. It has a collision mitigation system that also includes automatic emergency braking. The sedan is equipped with all-disc brakes and an electric parking brake. This sedan doesn't rely on extensive charging infrastructure like fully electric vehicles, as it generates electric power through regenerative braking while driving.

In Nepal, the Honda City Hybrid (e-HEV) is available in two different variants. The V variant is priced at NRs. 82 Lakh, while the ZX variant is priced at NRs. 88 Lakh. It is a groundbreaking hybrid sedan that sets new standards for fuel efficiency and driving pleasure. With its exceptional performance, advanced technology, and eco-conscious design, the Honda City Hybrid is a symbol of progress and commitment toward a greener and more vibrant Nepal.
