Honda has filed a patent for a Smart Key Technology that will be equipped in the facelift model of the Honda CBR250RR. The new Honda CBR250RR is supposed to get in the flesh by late 2020. The image surfaced online shows a key fob with the lock mechanism. The Smart Key will provide the owners with improved convenience and they'll be able to lock and unlock the handlebar. Some high-end premium motorcycles also get the smart key system.
The Honda CBR250RR is powered by a parallel twin-cylinder, 8-valve, 250 cc, DOHC motor. The liquid-cooled engine churns out 38 bhp of peak power at 12,500 rpm and 23.3 Nm of peak torque at 11,000 rpm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox and the motorcycle can attain a top speed of 170 kmph. The engine sits in a Diamond type frame. The motorcycle sounds distinct due to a twin-pod exhaust muffler. The 2020 Honda CBR250RR might get a EURO-V compliant motor to adhere to the emission norms.
The suspension duties are carried by a USD fork at the front and a five-step adjustable pro-link suspension at the rear. The Honda CBR250RR is equipped with 110/70 section tyre at the front and 140/70 section tyre at the rear. Anchoring department packs a dual-channel ABS unit equipped with petal-type hydraulic disc brakes at both front and the rear.
Other features of the Honda CBR250RR include full LED lightings in the headlamp, tail lamp and side indicators.
