Honda has recently launched the BS6-compliant Amaze in both petrol variant and diesel variant. In comparison to BS4 models, the BS6 models of the petrol Amaze get a price hike depending on the variant. The Honda Amaze comes with various segment-first features that help the car to score competitive sales number against Maruti Dzire and other compact sedans in Nepal.
Mechanically, the performance figures of the BS6 Honda Amaze remain unchanged. It continues with 1199cc, four-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine that churns out 90HP of maximum power along 110Nm of peak torque. The surprising change can be seen in the ARAI-certified mileage that has fallen from 19.5kmpl to 18.6kmpl for the 5-speed manual gearbox and 19.3kmpl to 18.3kmpl for the CVT automatic transmission.
The output figures for the diesel engine also remain the same. It continues to churn out the same 100HP of power and 200Nm of torque when mated to the manual gearbox while 80HP and 160Nm when paired with the CVT automatic gearbox. In this engine option too, the ARAI fuel efficiency figures have fallen by up to 2.8kmpl, depending on the variant. Other than that, Honda hasn’t made any cosmetic changes to the compact sedan. Here is the variant-wise price list of the BS6 Honda Amaze.
