According to a recent report, the BS6 KTM 390 Duke, RC 390 and 250 Duke will launch in Nepal in the coming days. The launch of the BS6-compliant Duke 200, RC 200, 125 Duke and the RC 125 will take place at a later stage.
In the first phase, the brand is planning to launch the BS6-compliant models of the KTM 250 Duke, 390 Duke and RC 390, while the deliveries of the said motorcycles will commence by the end of this month. One can expect these BS6 KTM bikes to get a hike in the price range by around 50,000 due to the upgradation to meet the new emission norms that will be implemented on April 1, 2020.
The brand will be launching the BS6 models of the KTM 125 Duke and RC 125 in February 2020 while the deliveries of the motorcycles will start from March 2020. One can expect the hike in the prices for the 125cc motorcycles to hover around 20,000 to 30,000. The BS6 KTM Duke 200 and RC 200 are also expected to get a similar price hike and will go on sale in February 2020.
Upgrading the current-gen KTM engines to meet the BS6 emission norms will result in a slight decrease in the power for the lower-capacity motorcycles though, as per the reports, the change will be minimal. In addition to the BS6-compliant models, KTM is also expected to launch the much-awaited 390 Adventure in the coming days.
Powering the adventure motorcycle is a 373.2cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected engine inspired from KTM 390 Duke. The engine is good for a maximum power of 43.5HP as well as an utmost torque of 37Nm. The engine will be mated to a 6-speed transmission.
