2021 MG Hector Facelift Officially Launched

MG(Morris Garages) Motor kicks off 2021 by launching the 2021 MG Hector facelift. MG has also updated the Hector with minor cosmetic changes and more features. The Hector has been an important part of MG's run in Nepal and has done consistently well since its launch. The 2021 MG Hector facelift is set to be launched in Nepalese market by mid 2021. For 2021, the Hector gets updates to the exterior and interior of the SUV. It also adds some sense of freshness to the overall looks. According to the latest report available, the company is also set to launch the new 7-seater variant in Nepal.


In terms of  interior, the most notable change on the 2021 Hector is that the all-black cabin makes way for a lighter champagne and black dual-tone one. The new Facelift comes with host of features such as the 10.4-inch portrait oriented touchscreen, connected car tech, auto climate control, powered front seats, 360-degree camera, powered tailgate, panoramic sunroof and more. Moving to the exterior, the Hector facelift gets a new chrome-stud pattern on the grille up front. The SUV shows newly-designed alloy wheels which are now 18-inchers instead of 17-inch. Also the Hector facelift also gets dual-tone exterior colour options.


In terms of engine options, the 2021 Hector continues to get the same existing 1.5-litre petrol motors along with a 2.0-litre diesel engine. The petrol versions make 141 bhp and 250 Nm torque which are mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox. The diesel engine, on the other hand, makes 168 bhp and 350 Nm of peak torque and is mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox as standard. Talking about safety, The Hector gets 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, ESC, hill-hold assist and other safety features. Not to forget, Hector also gets ventilated front seats, along with wireless phone charging and an auto-dimming inside rear view mirror.


As for the pricing and launch details in Nepal, the confirmation is yet to be revealed. According to the latest auto news, the car will be available in Nepal for sale from mid 2021. Once launched in Nepal, The MG Hector facelift will go up against the likes of Kia Seltos, Hyundai Creta, Tata Harrier, Renault Duster and the likes.
