Yamaha has launched its maxi-style performance scooter Aerox 155. The Japanese two-wheeler maker Yamaha is also planning to launch the Yamaha Aerox 155 scooter in the Nepalese market during the Dashain season. The Aerox will be Yamaha's most premium scooter for Nepal and it uses the same engine from the YZF-R15, which makes it the most powerful scooter here. Yamaha Aerox 155 is offered in 2 variants - Aerox 155 STD and the top variant Aerox 155 MotoGP Edition.
The Yamaha Aerox is powered by the Yamaha R15 V3-sourced 155 cc, VVA-equipped engine that makes 15hp and 13.9Nm. The scooter comes with sporty looks and features like LED lights, a fully digital LCD instrument console with smartphone connectivity, hazard lights, and a front disc brake. It is also equipped with large 14-inch wheels at both ends and a wide 140-section rear tire. The scooter has a kerb weight of 122 kg and has a large 25-liter under-seat storage space. The suspension is handled by front telescopic forks and dual rear shocks.
The Aerox 155 is quite well priced in the Indian market while the price is yet to be revealed for the Nepalese market.
