The EICMA stage held in Milan, Italy this year was occupied by Benelli –the Italian bike manufacturing company. Benelli unveiled its latest city cruiser motorbike as the 402S which appears to have drawn inspiration from Ducati XDiavel in terms of the overall design. The urban cruiser bike looks amazingly classic and brings in an era of ultimate design & technical specifications. The bike blends both contemporary biking style along with signature design symbols by Benelli to come with highly eye-catching features. The motorbike is expected to promise a greater level of enhanced performance along with a quality riding feel.
The city cruiser bike gets its overall power from the 400cc twin cylinder, in-line, 4 stroke, liquid cooled engine which is capable of churning out 39.4 HP of power at 9,000 rpm along with a peak torque of 35 Nm at 7,000 rpm. The engine has been mated to a 6-speed transmission gearbox. The motorbike has been structured on a chassis that comes trimmed in tubes with steel plates for an overall amazing riding experience. The bike has a road-ready weight of 160kg which makes it a complete city cruiser package to glide on the streets & highways.
For the braking duty, the bike sports dual 260 mm semi-floating discs toward the front end. Similarly, the rear end of the bike receives a 240 mm disc. The braking system of the bike has been combined with ABS to ensure the safety of the rider. The motorbike runs on black alloy wheels of 17 mm which have been wrapped in metal tyres. The suspension duty of the bike is performed by USD 41 mm fork towards the front along with a swingarm monoshock absorber of 45 mm travel towards the rear end. Resembling its designing features to the Ducati XDiavel, the Benelli 402S has a strong rival in hand.
The bike is expected to be running on an expected mileage of around 23.81 kmpl. The 402S model by Benelli will be featuring an overall fuel tank capacity of 16 Litres. In terms of the other design features, the Benelli 402S 2018 will be sporting very close design parameters to that of Ducati XDiavel. From its side profile, the bike almost looks like the modified version of Ducati XDiavel. However, you will not be left a chance to complain as the bike also features some amazing distinctive design standards. The headlamp of the bike is certainly its trademark with certain resemblances to the TNT 300. However, it has some points of uniqueness as well.
The headlamp comes with an LED projector lamp that gives it a vertical appearance. The headlamp also sports a fully digital instrument group. In addition to this, the bike also features a classic muscular and chunky fuel tank with an overall capacity of 16 Litres. The side profile of the bike imparts a highly bold look with the complete nakedness. The tail section also receives the LED lights along with side mounted twin-barrel exhausts. Drawing its inspiration from the Ducati XDiavel, the 400cc Benelli 402S is highly economical in terms of the overall pricing and fuel consumption.
