Yamaha, the renowned Japanese motorcycle manufacturer, is gearing up to launch its latest masterpiece - the Yamaha FZS V4 in Nepal. MAW Enterprise, the authorised distributor of Yamaha bikes in Nepal, is set to open the bookings for the FZS V4.0 FI in the coming days while the deliveries will commence by mid-2024. Yamaha has always been a symbol of motorcycle excellence, with the FZ series showcasing its commitment to pushing performance, design, and innovation. With the FZS V4, Yamaha is ready to elevate the game even further.
The Yamaha FZ S V4.0 is the latest version of the popular FZ series and it comes with an array of upgrades and new features. It continues to draw power from the same 149cc single-cylinder motor that generates a maximum power of 16.6 bhp and 13.3 Nm. This engine is mated to a five-speed gearbox. The conventional front forks and monoshock at the rear on the FZ S Fi V4 are the same as the previous model. Even the front and rear disc brake setup remain unchanged. Dual-channel ABS is still not offered however, it still comes with a Single-channel ABS.
The Yamaha FZS V4 comes loaded with cutting-edge features designed to enhance your riding experience. The motorcycle showcases several subtle enhancements, including updated elements such as redesigned LED headlamps, slimmer LED sidelights, fresh LED daytime running lights (DRLs), a more luminous Class (D) headlight, and a muscular tank appearance accentuated by glossy chrome duct plating and a three-dimensional emblem. Additionally, it features a revamped fuel tank boasting an increased capacity of 13 litres, promising a mileage of approximately 50 kilometres per litre.
The FZS V4 introduces an enhanced safety mechanism with the inclusion of the Traction Control System (TCS). The new version also comes with a fully digital instrument cluster that displays a plethora of information including speedometer, odometer, trip meter, fuel level readout and gear position. It is also equipped with the new Bluetooth-enabled Yamaha Motorcycle Connect X app that connects your phone to the bike. The app offers features like turn-by-turn navigation, call and message alerts, and an immobilizer that can be activated with a single touch. The app also offers information on the bike's maintenance, including oil change schedules and service reminders.
The 149cc single-cylinder engine is BS6 phase II compliant, meeting RDE norms. Moreover, it is compatible with E20 fuel, allowing the bike to run smoothly on a blend of 20% ethanol and 80% petrol, showcasing Yamaha's dedication to reducing carbon emissions. The fuel-injection technology in the engine ensures better fuel efficiency and smoother throttle response. While the Yamaha FZS V3 lacks E20 compatibility, this functionality will be integrated into the upcoming FZS V4. Notably, it comes equipped with an integrated side-stand engine cut-off switch.
The Yamaha FZS V4.0 price in Nepal is expected to be around NRs.4.30 - NRs.4.60 lakhs. However, the pricing for the FZS V4 in Nepal has not been disclosed yet. It will be offered in two versions: the Standard Variant and the Deluxe Variant. The colour choices for the Standard Variant include Dark Matte Blue and Matte Black, while the Deluxe Variant offers a range of options including Racing Blue, Majesty Red, Metallic Grey, and Matte Black.
