Hero MotoCorp is all set to redefine the riding experience with this sleek and powerful addition to its lineup. The company is gearing up to unleash a new beast - the Hero Xtreme 125R in Nepal. The Hero Xtreme 125R has already been introduced in the Indian market, and the anticipation is now building for its imminent launch in Nepal, expected sometime in 2024. Hero Nepal has yet to announce a specific launch date for the Xtreme 125R in the Nepalese market. In contrast to the remaining Hero 125cc commuter bikes, the Xtreme 125R stands out as a high-end and sporty motorcycle.
The Hero Xtreme 125R is not just a bike; it's a powerhouse on wheels. The Xtreme 125R is powered by an all-new air-cooled,125cc, single-cylinder engine that generates a maximum power of 11.40 bhp at 8,000 rpm and a max torque of 10.50 Nm at 6,000 rpm. This engine is mated to a 5-speed gearbox accompanied by a wet multi-plate clutch. It is equipped with a 37mm telescopic fork up front and a Showa mono-shock with adjustable pre-load at the rear. It comes with a 276 mm disc up front and a drum brake at the rear. A combi-braking system is standard while top variants get single-channel ABS.
The Hero Xtreme 125R isn't just about raw power, it's also equipped with the latest technology to enhance your riding experience. At the front, the 125R has a stylish headlamp cover with bright LED daytime running lights (DRLs) and a sleek angular headlamp placed lower down. The fuel tank has a modern and sculpted look with contrasting extensions on the sides that showcase the 125R graphics. Similar to the 160R 4V, the 125R also features a divided seat design. Completing the overall appearance are double-spoke alloy wheels. The digital instrument cluster provides real-time information, including speed, fuel level, and trip details.
Hero claims that the Xtreme 125R boasts a fuel efficiency rating of 66 kilometres per litre (kmpl) and is equipped with a fuel tank that can hold up to 10 litres of fuel. In terms of dimensions, the Xtreme 125R features a length of 2009mm, a width of 793mm, and a height of 1051mm. It is built with a wheelbase measuring 1319mm, while the seat height is set at 794mm, and the ground clearance is a substantial 180mm. It has a kerb weight of 136 Kg. It features 17-inch alloy wheels. The front tire dimensions are 90/90 - 17 TL, while the rear tire measures 120/80 - 17 TL.
The Hero Xtreme 125R is available in two variants - IBS and ABS. It comes in a choice of three colour options - blue with silver, black and red with black. Once launched in Nepal it will compete against the likes of the TVS Raider, Bajaj Pulsar NS125 and the Honda SP125. The Hero Xtreme 125R is expected to be priced higher than its competitors in Nepal, attributed to its sporty aesthetics and bold design. However, the company has not disclosed the pricing details for the Nepalese market along with the launch date.
The official launch of the Hero Xtreme 125R marks a new era in the 125cc motorcycle segment. With its powerful engine, striking design, advanced technology, and emphasis on rider comfort and safety, this bike is set to redefine the standards in its class. Stay tuned as Hero MotoCorp is gearing up to introduce this dynamic motorcycle in the Nepalese market, promising an exciting and thrilling riding experience for enthusiasts.
