Yamaha launched its first neo-retro bike in the International market, the Yamaha FZ-X back in June 2021. According to the recent report, Yamaha Motor Nepal will also be launching the new FZ-X motorcycle in the Nepalese market in the coming months. With the launch of this bike, Yamaha will have yet another product in its popular FZ series of bikes. The FZ-X is Yamaha's neo-retro scrambler based on the FZ series motorcycle. The new FZ-X will be ideal for those looking for an affordable retro bike packed with modern and practical features.

The FZ-X shares its 149cc single-cylinder engine with its FZ siblings. The FZ-X comes with an air-cooled 4-stroke 149cc SOHC, 2-valve, single-cylinder fuel-injected “BLUE CORE” engine. It generated 12.4PS and 13.3Nm. The engine is paired to a five-speed gearbox. The motorcycle comes with disc brakes at both ends including single-channel ABS as standard. Due to a different body design of the FZ-X, it comes with an overall change in dimensions. Apart from that, the wheelbase will remain identical. The front fork is fitted with a fork boot.

The Yamaha FZ-X comes with a host of features including an all-LED headlamp, tail lamp, and modern full-LCD instrument cluster compatible with the Yamaha Y-Connect app which features call and SMS alerts, mileage details, last parked location, and malfunction alert. Other features include a USB charging port, offset fuel tank cap, and a tuck-and-roll single-piece seat with upright handlebars. Yamaha also offers LED indicators, an engine guard, seat cover, tank grips, and chromed-out rearview mirrors in FZ-X.

Yamaha offers the FZ-X in two variants including Standard and Bluetooth while both variants come in three color options including Matte Copper, Matte Black, and Metallic Blue. The Yamaha FZ-X price in Nepal is expected to be around NRs. 3,90,000. The FZ-X will compete against the likes of Bajaj Pulsar NS 160, TVS Apache RTR 160, and the Suzuki Gixxer.  Here are the complete specifications and features of the Yamaha FZ-X:
