Maruti Suzuki has officially launched the 2022 Baleno. The new Maruti Suzuki Baleno is an extensively upgraded model compared to its previous model but the powertrain remains the same. The new Baleno carries almost a similar look when compared to the outgoing model. CG Motors, the authorized distributor of Suzuki vehicles in Nepal, is set to introduce the 2022 version of Baleno in the Nepalese market. Pre-bookings for the Maruti Suzuki Baleno in Nepal are also set to open in the coming days. 2022 Suzuki Baleno deliveries will commence shortly and additionally will be available across all Maruti showrooms in Nepal.

The new 2022 Baleno is powered by two 1.2-liter petrol engines – one producing 83hp and another producing 90hp with 12V mild-hybrid technology. This engine is mated to a five-speed manual transmission as standard while a five-speed AMT unit is optional. The new motor comes with the brand's mild-hybrid technology which aims to improve fuel efficiency and lower emissions on the hatchback. Maruti Suzuki claims a fuel-efficiency figure of 22.35 km/l in the manual guise and 22.94 km/l in the AMT unit. 

The new Baleno gets major changes in terms of design, and safety. It comes with a new bumper along with a wider and slimmer grille, angular LED projector headlamps with LED DRLs, and a signature Projector Headlamp. The new Baleno also features Apple CarPlay and Android Auto with an in-built navigation system. It also includes Alexa assistance, a head-up display, a new sound system with ARKAMYS tuning, and a 360-view camera view among others. The new Baleno's safety feature includes six airbags, electronic stability control, hill-hold assist, ABS with EBD, and rear parking sensors.

The new 2022 Suzuki Baleno comes with six color options – Arctic White, Splendid Silver, Grandeur Grey, Nexa Blue, Opulent Red, and Luxe Beige. Maruti is offering the new Baleno in two trims - the base Sigma variant and the top-end Alpha automatic trim. The new Maruti Suzuki Baleno will rival the likes of the Hyundai i20, Tata Altroz, Honda Jazz, and Volkswagen Polo.
