The most happening motorcycle, TVS Akula 310 has been hinted for a launch near the end of next year. The motorcycle was a definite showstopper and its connection with the BMW G310R made it more famous than any other machine at Auto Expo. The most potential rival is KTM RC390, it is the crowned king of this segment currently.
Akula 310 is expected to carry the same 310cc engine of BMW G310R producing 33.6 Bhp @ 9500 rpm and 28 Nm @ 7500 rpm. TVS Akula may generate different set of power and torque figures. The concept model of Akula is said to weigh just 130 kg and use components like USD forks, electronic fuel injection and 17 inch wheels. The motorcycle will fetch the most out of the aerodynamic assistance and this would add few more kilometers per hour for the Akula 310.
TVS is manufacturing the BMW G310R locally and we can even expect the motorcycle to share most of it’s parts with the naked counterpart. It will carry the running horse logo, hence resulting in a competitive price tag and reliable built quality. It can be placed anywhere near or maybe below the 5 lakhs.
