Premium high-performance motorcycle manufacturer KTM has launched  390 Adventure motorbike in Nepal at a price of Rs 9.99 lakhs. KTM 390 Adventure is a commuter bike available in 1 variant in Nepal.  The entry-level tourer is KTM’s first off-road-oriented motorcycle in Nepal. The KTM 390 Adventure still undercuts its rivals like the BMW G 310 GS and the Kawasaki Versys-X 300. The motorcycle is one of two small capacity adventure motorcycles (the other one being the 250 Adventure) from the Austrian manufacturer as they offer a small taste of KTM’s rich off-road DNA.

While the 390 Adventure is designed to handle rough terrains, it is powered by the same 373cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder motor that produces 43.5PS and 37Nm of torque on the Naked 390 Duke. The engine works in conjunction with a 6-speed transmission with slipper clutch and a standard quickshifter for the Nepalese-spec model. The 390 Adventure features WP suspension up front but with longer travel than the road going sibling. The rear monoshock also gets longer travel and is preload and rebound adjustable. Single cylinder engine of 390 Adventure has a 6 speed manual gearbox. With both front and rear disc brakes, KTM 390 Adventure comes up with anti-locking braking system.

On the design front, the 390 Adventure to be inspired by the KTM 790 Adventure, which is very close to the company’s Dakar range of bikes. It gets KTM's traditional vertical split LED headlights, on top which is a minimalistic wind deflector. The instrument cluster is similar to the one on the 390 Duke. The bike gets a split seat setup. To tackle river crossings better, it also gets an upswept exhaust. This bike is available in 2 colours. The 390 Adventure has probably been the most awaited bike of 2020. This adventure motorcycle is being built in India, for Nepal and for the rest of the world.

The KTM 390 Adventure will be based on the naked sibling- the Duke 390. Though based on the street-fighter version, it will borrow traits from the 790 Adventure model in terms of design. This new motorcycle sports a stronger and longer suspension, dual-purpose tyres and a larger fuel tank. The motorcycle gets upright seating position making it more comfortable for longer distances. The KTM 390 Adventure competes with the BMW G 310 GS in the Nepalese market. The bike is currently offered in two paint schemes –white and orange.
