Adventure bike segment is one of the most happening categories in the Nepalese market that is seeing increasing activities from various brands in Nepal. Being one of the major players and the second biggest two-wheeler brand in Nepal, Honda doesn’t want to stay behind in the race and it is aiming to grab a strong spot in the segment with some exciting models. One of the bikes in this category from Honda will be the XRE 300.

Honda has already patented this bike and as it appears, the bike is likely to launch in the county market sometime in the middle of 2018. The bike takes inspiration from other adventure models in Honda’s lineup with bigger displacement engines. Honda XRE 300 comes with an aggressive look that can catch one’s attention at the very first glimpse.

It gets a compact and powerful headlamp, a beak-like front cowl, digital instrument cluster. Wide handlebars along with low positioned seat ensure a comfortable riding position and great control over the machine. A large capacity fuel tank is there offering a long riding range without refuelling. Also, the fuel tank adds masculinity to the overall look of the bike. A slightly stepped up pillion seat is there with split grab rail and an LED taillight at the tip of the narrow tail section.

The practicality of the bike is enhanced by the high positioned raised exhaust muzzle sitting under the tail. It runs on multi-spoke wheels wrapped with off-road-spec tyres. To make the bike capable of performing some serious task on rough terrains, Honda has designed the XRE 300 with high ground clearance. So far, this comes with an exciting bold look capable of drawing everyone’s attention easily. Upon arrival, it would challenge the Royal Enfield Himalayan and Mahindra Mojo if priced rightly.

On the powertrain front, Honda XRE 300 gets energy from a 291.6 cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine coupled with a 5-speed manual transmission. This engine is capable of churning out 25.4 bhp of peak power and 27 Nm of peak torque. For braking duty, the Honda XRE 300 gets disc brakes on both the front and rear wheels. Suspension duty is done by telescopic front forks and rear mono shock absorbers. The bike is expected to offer around 30 kmpl of mileage.

Speaking about its performance, the bike comes built in such a manner that offers the rider comfortable riding experience even on rough terrains. Also, it gets Honda’s high-end technology to deliver superior performance and in terms of handling too, the 153 kg weighing machine on two-wheels helps the rider to have control over it. Expect it to offer generous acceleration capacity.

We believe, Honda XRE 300 will come with the capability to impress the buyers who want a quarter-litre adventure bike with high performance and competitive pricing as well. Expect it to impress a lot of young generation buyers in the Nepalese market.
