Bajaj Auto has completed the acquisition of full control over KTM’s parent company marking a major milestone in its 17-year partnership. The deal gives Bajaj total authority over KTM Husqvarna and GasGas and officially ends Pierer Group’s involvement.
Bajaj Auto International Holdings BV BAIH purchased all 50,100 shares of Pierer Bajaj AG PBAG from Pierer Industrie AG PIAG. This makes PBAG a fully owned subsidiary of Bajaj Auto while giving Bajaj 74.9 percent ownership of Pierer Mobility AG PMAG the parent of KTM brands.

With the acquisition complete KTM AG and PMAG are now step-down subsidiaries of Bajaj Auto. This gives Bajaj full control of global strategy production and motorcycle launches.
The deal received Austrian authority approval in October 2025 and allowed Bajaj to proceed without a mandatory takeover bid. Bajaj has already started restructuring KTM’s operations and management to bring efficiency and streamline global operations.
