Glamp up your Vitara Brezza with Bold design and Glamorous new look.
Maruti Vitara Brezza with the Auto Gear Shift (AGS) has been launched in India with prices starting at Rs. 8.54 lakh going all the way up to Rs. 10.49 lakh for the top-end Automatic (prices are ex-showroom, Delhi). The AMT option on the Maruti Brezza had long been awaited, and finally, the company launches the subcompact SUV in the AGS avatar which is offered with the VDi, ZDi and ZDi+ variants. Apart from the AMT gearbox, the interior as well as the exterior of the new Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza have been given a facelift too. It now gets alloy wheels in gloss black finish. Designed and developed completely in India, Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza is the first sub-compact SUV from the Indo-Japanese carmaker for the domestic market.
What powers the Brezza subcompact SUV is a 1.3 litre diesel motor that produces 88 bhp of max power and 200 Nm of peak torque and comes paird with a 5-speed manual as well as AGS (Auto Gear Shift) transmission. There is no petrol engine on offer yet. Here is a quick look at the specs. Maruti Suzuki Brezza automatic has also been loaded with new safety features like ISOFIX child restraint system, high speed warning alert, dual air bags, ABS with EBD, reverse parking sensors and front seat belt pre-tensioners and force limiters. These features come as standard across AMT variants. Other features aboard include a mix of goodies like Apple CarPlay, reverse camera, cruise control, rain-sensing wipers, push start button, auto head lamps, airbags for driver and co-passenger and ABS are offered on top-spec variant.
Built on Suzuki’s global C platform, Vitara Brezza dons a contemporary design philosophy, some of the other key styling elements like the contrast coloured floating roof and three pillars, squared wheel arches and aggressive headlamp assembly in front lend it SUV-ish character. Unlike other models in the subcompact SUV segment that either appear like oversized hatchbacks or have box-like stance, Maruti Suzuki Brezza has a refreshing design. In tandem with the sub-four meter sketch, Vitara Brezza measures 3995mm long, 1790mm wide and 1640mm high. In front the SUV gets a thick chrome radiator grille ornate with Suzuki logo in the centre and flanked by a set of pulled back projector head lamps. The bumper in front is large and gets round fog lamps. The lower honey comb grille and black cladding accentuate the aggression. The hood is flat and straight, while the steeply raked in windscreen in front and the sloping roof atop lend modish touch to the outer semblance.
The sub-compact SUV locks horns with the popular models in the segment like Ford EcoSport, Mahindra TUV300 and Mahindra NuvoSport. Despite being a late entrant in the segment, Maruti Suzuki certainly seems well prepared to initiate a war with the strong aforementioned contenders. With the segment best mileage, AMT gearbox, low pricing and some of the advanced features on offer, Vitara Brezza is a worthy option in its league.
